NetWorking

NetWorking is an ongoing knitting installation/performance art piece originally created by Nyok-Mei Wong (Malaysia) & Anni Holm (Denmark) in 2006.

The NetWorking project is an attempt to physically demonstrate how a network is constructed and constantly changing. The viewers are invited to sit down and knit with the artist, and through dialogue develop their own networks beyond the boundaries of the piece.

The piece began in April 2006 in the A+D Gallery booth at the NOVA Young Art Fair in Chicago. Since then the piece has traveled around Chicago from Columbia College's Manifest, to @rtnight at the Chicago Cultural Center and Stitch'n'Bitch at the MCA.

Beyond Chicago, NetWorking, has visited: Waterloo, IA - Pittsburgh, PA - Cleveland, OH - Minneapolis, MN - Baxter, MN - Corbett, OR - Hollywood, CA - Miami, FL - Denver, CO - Fargo, ND - Dallas, TX - Elk Horn, IA and Randers, Denmark.

Please check back regularly for new images, updates and upcoming events.
